Enter the date and miles for each business trip and the calculator applies the IRS standard business mileage rate in effect on that date: 70 cents in 2025, 72.5 cents from January to June 2026 and 76 cents from July 2026. You can also enter your own company rate.

This is a free tool that runs in the browser; open the page to use it. Nothing a visitor types is sent to Barespend.

The IRS standard mileage rate is a common benchmark, and many employers use it. Paying a different rate is allowed, and some states have their own reimbursement rules, which this calculator doesn’t model.

Keep a log for each trip with the date, destination, business purpose and miles. Rates are taken from the IRS standard mileage rates page and are reviewed whenever the IRS announces a change.
